Hydroscand Energy Optimisation – for Industry and Businesses
Unnecessary energy consumption costs industries and businesses millions and results in CO₂ emissions that significantly impact our nature and environment. Hydroscand Energy Optimisation is a smart and sustainable solution that monitors and optimizes compressed air systems, enabling companies to reduce their energy costs and meet their climate and emissions targets.
Reduced Energy Costs for Industry and Businesses
Energy consumption accounts for a significant portion of operating costs in industry and businesses. By reviewing energy use and taking appropriate measures, there is great potential for savings. Hydroscand Energy Optimisation helps reduce costs for industries and businesses by optimising compressed air systems.
The Benefits of Hydroscand Energy Optimisation
Reduced costs through lower energy consumption and decreased compressed air leakage.
Sustainable production by reducing CO₂ emissions.
Extended lifespan of the compressor system.
Documentation to support environmental audits.
How does an energy optimisation for industry work?
Measurement of compressed air consumption and air quality
Hydroscand measures compressed air consumption and the quality of the produced compressed air. We monitor airflow, operating pressure, and dew point in the system. Additionally, we separately measure the energy consumption and voltage of the compressor or compressors. Measurements are taken both during production and production stoppages to determine the exact consumption and costs related to leaks.
The flow measurement identifies the portion of compressed air lost through leaks and is used to evaluate the cost of compressed air in relation to production costs and whether energy-saving measures have the desired effect.
Leak detection of compressed air systems
For maximum cost savings, Hydroscand Energy Optimisation is carried out in conjunction with a leak detection of your compressed air system. Leak detection means that we identify and locate compressed air leaks in your facility and suggest measures to reduce future compressed air leaks.
Actions and documentation
A report is compiled with the facility’s energy costs, CO₂ emissions, and identified leaks. The report is used to identify energy losses and propose measures that reduce energy consumption, CO₂ emissions, and wear on the facility, saving money and increasing your competitiveness.
Measures may include replacing defective hoses and fittings or ensuring that the mains in the compressed air system are correctly sized. We are happy to assist with compressed air system design, providing drawings, and installing new mains. Proper pipe sizing results in stronger pressure and more efficient airflow.
Continuous flow measurement, service, and monitoring of compressed air systems
We offer continuous monitoring and ongoing maintenance of your compressed air system. Through the monitoring equipment, we receive information about the system’s condition, consumption, and environmental impact all in one place. Parameters are set for energy consumption, dew point, pressure, and flow, and if any value exceeds the set limits, we are notified. With continuous monitoring, issues are detected immediately and can be addressed before they become critical.
