Pipe bending – We help you bend and shape pipes
At Hydroscand's pipe bending facility, we have gathered the expertise required to bend various types of pipes. We help you custom-design pipes to fit your specific applications. We bend everything from seamless precision pipes (hydraulic pipes) and welded industrial pipes to furniture pipes and Zistaplex pipes.
In addition, we perform subcontracted pipe bending, which is also carried out at our facilities.
Our customers span a wide range of industries, such as the forestry industry, marine, OEM, construction, process industry, energy sector, and automotive industry.
Our offering
We offer bending of, among other things:
Seamless precision tubes (hydraulic tubes/hydraulic pipes in steel, available in black or bright Zista finish)
Welded precision tubes
Stainless steel tubes
Acid-resistant tubes
Thin-walled tubes
Aluminum tubes (for constructions where low weight is a priority)
Steel tubes
Copper and brass tubes (when good corrosion resistance and long service life are required)
Zistaplex tubes (with a black-colored surface treatment that provides extra protection against rust and corrosion)
Bend and shape stainless steel tubes
Are you looking for a different type of tube? We have the machines and experience to bend everything from welded and seamless tubes to tubes made from various materials such as steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. The tubes can also have different profiles with various surface treatments.
Tube bending services
Measurement and copying of pipes
We have the necessary equipment to, with high precision and reliability, measure exactly how your pipe needs to be bent to fit your specific application. If needed, we also offer on-site pipe measurement at your location.
We come to you with our measuring equipment and create a data set with coordinates for how your pipe needs to be bent. This can also be delivered as a CAD drawing (optional service) if required. The data and drawings are then used to custom design your pipe with the required precision.
Do you have a bent pipe that needs replacing? We can help you copy an existing pipe. With our equipment, we can measure your pipe and then create an identical one with the same bends. Pipe copying is done on-site at our facilities.

Pipes and hoses
At Hydroscand, we have been working with tube bending since the late 1980s. This expertise is combined with our 50 years of experience in hoses and fluid components, enabling us to offer you a complete solution where hoses and tubes are assembled together.
Many applications rely on securely connecting tubes and hoses in a way that ensures good flow while maintaining a tight seal. This type of assembly requires knowledge and the right products in the right place. At Hydroscand, we have the expertise needed and can tailor the solution to meet your needs.
Marking of tubes
If needed, the tubes can be marked with unique codes during production. We perform both hose marking and tube marking using Hydroscand's TrackingCode service.
The marking is done by attaching a label with a unique code to the tube. This allows for quick access to all the necessary information about the tube and its bending, making it easy to replace the tube when needed. The tube marking label is highly durable and resistant to UV radiation, corrosion, and various media such as hydraulic oil.
By marking your tubes during production, you can stay ahead and order the correct tube with the right bending even before a planned shutdown when the tube is to be replaced. This makes disassembly and assembly more time- and cost-efficient.
Cleaning of tubes
An important part of tube bending for hydraulic pipes is the cleanliness of the final product. Therefore, Hydroscand offers two different tube cleaning systems, which you can read more about below.
Projectile cleaning
Plug shooting is a dry cleaning system where so-called cleaning plugs made of polyester material are pushed through the bent pipe using eight bars of compressed air. The friction between the plug and the pipe then carries the dirt out. This system achieves a cleanliness level corresponding to ISO 17/13.
Wet cleaning
We also offer a wet cleaning system based on a heated water mixture, consisting of 98% water, 1.5% detergent, and 0.5% rust protection agent. This cleaning method is therefore less harmful to the environment than many other forms of wet cleaning. Air bubbles and vibrations are also added, which help loosen dirt from the inside of the pipe. With this cleaning method, you can easily achieve a cleanliness level corresponding to ISO 12/9, and the pipe becomes extremely clean.
Pipe connections
After cutting the pipe, we always perform post-processing with internal and external deburring of the pipe.
Externally beveled pipe at 30°.
Pre-assembled nut and cutting ring according to DIN 2353 for 24° standard.
Flared pipe with 37° cone with nut and support cone according to SAE J514 standard.
Flared pipe 90° according to ORFS and SAE J1453 standard.
Formatted and flared power steering pipes with O-ring sealing. Connections for air conditioning or other special shapes can also be made.
Our machinery fleet
Today, our machinery fleet consists of several pipe bending machines, including one that can bend larger pipe dimensions and efficiently handle pipes up to four meters long. This means we can bend pipes up to Ø63.5 mm in black steel and up to Ø50.8 mm in stainless steel.
To ensure quality work down to the smallest detail, we use the latest technology in portable industrial measuring arms. This allows for faster and more precise measurement of bent pipes. We also create prototypes and design custom pipes from scratch.
Our machinery fleet enables us to meet the high demands for measuring equipment and dimensional testing that our customers require today.
